Prince Harry and Louis the Lab found comfort in each other

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at Windsor Castle on Saturday to greet royal fans paying their respects to the late Queen, many special exchanges were captured on camera. Prince Harry shared a touching moment of mourning with a loving Labrador puppy while his wife, Meghan Markle, greeted the well-wishing crowd.

The beloved dog named Louis belongs to Sarah Gracie, from Surrey, who says he loves being “cuddled, petted and surrounded by people”. Sarah was delighted to meet the royal couple and said she “witnessed a really beautiful moment at such a difficult time for them.”

Meghan Markle was comforted by Labrador Louis too

Sarah uploaded photographs of Harry with her beautiful Labrador Louis on Twitter, writing: “When our little pup Louis met Meghan and Harry as we paid our respects to The Queen.”

Royal fans were besotted with the pictures and shared their love of dogs in the replies.

One person tweeted: “Look at that pup… eyes closed under Harry’s touch… complete trust. Dogs know and recognise good people.”

Another commented: “I think that says a lot about Meghan and Harry and what matters to them. I’m sure Louis provided a little comfort in a difficult day.”

Sarah posted a second tweet with another shot of the exchange from afar, writing: “Our darling puppy Louis with Prince Harry. Louis paying his respects as well.”

Beneath the post, one fan simply wrote: “Photo of the decade.”
