Legendary 60s Ford: 1964 Fairlane 500 Hardtop 427 4-On-The-Floor

This 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 two-door hardtop was acquired by the seller in 2013 and subsequently underwent a refurbishment that was completed in 2016. Work consisted of mounting the body on a rotisserie, stripping and repainting the body and chassis, reupholstering the interior, installing an aircraft-style electrical system, a 427ci FE V8, a Toploader four-speed manual transmission, and a 9″ rear axle with a 3.50:1 limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Brandywine and silver metallic over black vinyl upholstery and features a fiberglass Thunderbolt-style tear-drop hood, headlight intake tubes, chassis bracing, a driveshaft loop, modified front shock towers, traction bars, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ American Racing wheels, a Pertronix electronic ignition module, an aluminum intake manifold, two Holley four-barrel carburetors, and AutoMeter instrumentation.
