Locals flocked to Cagdainao beach in the Dinagat archipelago, Philippines to see the body of the white furry monster washed ashore.
The strange sea creature with a massive shape and long white hair washed up on the Cagdainao coast of the Philippines after the earthquake on February 19, attracting many locals to observe and take photos.
Images of the monster quickly went viral on the Internet. An account named John Paul Garcia believes that this creature has a similar appearance to the half-polar bear, half-whale monster that washed up in Margate, South Africa on October 25, 1924 with the nickname Trunko. Others have suggested it could be Gloster, an unidentified organic entity that sometimes appears on the coast.
However, local scientists confirmed that the strange creature’s body was actually a 6 m long whale, weighing approximately 2,000 kg. Fish carcasses turn white during decomposition. The animal is believed to have died two weeks ago, possibly from being hit by a train.
