Sierra Canyon’s Victory Showcases The James Brothers, Bryce and Bronny, in LeBron’s Proud Shadow

Bryce James, the younger son of NBA sensation LeBron James, wowed the audience at a recent high school basketball game at USC’s Galen Center. During the first quarter of the Chosen1 Invitational, Bryce stepped in for Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, California) versus Coronado (Las Vegas) with his father and family watching from courtside.

Bronny, Bryce’s older brother, returned to basketball on the same floor five months ago after having a heart arrest. While he was on the road with his USC squad for Sunday afternoon’s game against Auburn, Bronny—who just made his USC debut—was unable to attend his brother’s play.

The Sierra Canyon squad maintained their dominating play with a recent 59-point victory. On Saturday night, they had an early lead and went on to win by a score of 83–55 over Coronado. In 21 minutes of action, 6-4 shooting guard Bryce James contributed three assists, eight points (two from beyond the arc), and a field goal percentage of 45%.

Sierra Canyon’s 46-18 halftime lead was the game-changer. Bryce Cofield, the team’s junior wing, scored 21 points, grabbed 8 boards, and dished out 7 assists, putting him in first place in scoring. Thanks to their great play, Sierra Canyon’s record is now 10-1. In the forthcoming Santa Barbara Tournament, they will face Burroughs High School as their next opponent.

Like his brother Bronny, Bryce James is keeping a low profile during the recruiting process. He has previously made unofficial visits to USC and Ohio State. Colleges and scouts are taking notice of his abilities, particularly his jump shooting and his silky touch around the basket.

Bryce James’s pocket passing abilities are top-notch, according to LeBron James.

As his son’s basketball career has progressed, LeBron James has consistently expressed his love and support. Taking to Instagram, the Los Angeles Lakers player recently gushed about his younger son Bryce’s basketball talents, praising a particularly brilliant pocket pass.

“Maximum pocket pass!” senior James penned. You’re seriously killing it! The ELITE pocket pass! Even pros have trouble making that move. Bryce received this recognition for his outstanding play in Sierra Canyon’s recent 59-point victory, which featured other noteworthy plays beyond the lauded pocket pass.

Bryce, who is only a junior, has impressed major institutions with his steady growth as a player, earning offers from Ohio State and Duquesne in addition to interest from USC. 247Sports presently has Bryce rated as a 3-star prоspect due to his promising skills, especially in the areas of passing and shooting.

This is more than simply parental pride; it’s the stamp of approval from an accomplished expert—that’s what LeBron James is giving. As Bryce continues to play high school basketball, his already impressive skill set will continue to develop, paving the way for a professional basketball career.
