Despite its slow growth rate, these trees can eventually grow up to 30 feet (9 meters) tall.

Approximately three million years ago, Mount Kilimanjaro began its formation, and it experienced significant eruptions about 350,000 years ago. This extended period gave rise to distinct species that are exclusive to this isolated mountain.
