A family adopts a puppy with a strange appearance

When animals have physical deformities or scars, they often have a hard time finding homes in shelters. However, one lucky puppy named Lisa was brought to the Humane Society of Silicon Valley with scars on her face and inflamed eyelids that required surgery. Despite the shelter staff’s doubts about finding her a home, Christine Doblar and her family were immediately drawn to Lisa’s sparkling personality. Although her looks were unusual, they couldn’t resist Lisa’s loving and exuberant nature. The family adopted Lisa, who they renamed “Lucky,” on the same day they met her. Lucky now has a loving forever home thanks to the Doblar family’s compassion and willingness to see past her physical differences.
