According to Iraqi officials, the above artifacts include handmade ceramics, ancient coins and metal objects dating back to the Parthian kingdom (between 247 BC and 224 AD). Researchers will analyze and study these artifacts to determine the exact time the objects were crafted.
The discovery of dozens of artifacts after rain like the above is not uncommon in Iraq. Last year, 1,000 artifacts were also excavated this way, proving that antiques are not only located deep but can be located right close to the ground.
