Legends are made at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The names of those who have been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, such as Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant, will live on in infamy. Modern superstars like Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, though, aren’t interested in taking it seriously. Neither Paul Pierce nor Kevin Garnett, two legends of the Boston Celtics, took kindly to being slandered at the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Two Celtics greats chatted it up on KG Certified, a Showtime Basketball program. Garnett and Pierce were both amused by the Heat star’s explanation for skipping his own Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The Truth suggested that Butler’s remark was an emotional outburst related to the NBA Finals.

Pierce still considers the comment offҽnsive because so few players are ever a part of it. You can’t treat the Hall of Fame with contempt. This is an incredible award. Not everyone makes it, Pierce said emphatically.

However, they continue to have faith in the current Heat starter. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce suggest that he could change his mind in the future.
