While on active duty in the Middle East, Sergeant Kelsey met a beautiful orange mama kitty and the two became fast friends. But Sgt. Kelsey knew this cat needed her help.

Cats are finicky creatures that can spend up to half of their waking hours grooming and grooming themselves. Cats learn to groom as kittens by observing their mothers clean themselves. As a result, if a kitten was separated from its mother too young, or if the mother never learned to groom herself, the kitten may require assistance in remaining well-groomed.

A stray cat named Macy was found with her week-old babies. When they were brought to safety, another litter of kittens were rescued and needing help.

A cat blossomed remarkably after she was rescued at 22 years old. Now, she chases the sun and hogs the bed.

Everyone can have a bad hair day, unfortunately for a cat named Hidey the bad hair day lasted for years. This neglected cat with severely matted fur resembling ‘dreadlocks’ has been rescued in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was found with a very serious case of matting. The matted hairs were about 6 to 8 inches long, and had a combination of feces and tangled hair. So much so, she could barely move or walk around. But, now she finally has the chance to be happy and comfortable again.
