The 2024 Paris Olympics saw Stephen Curry make his long-awaited debut on the international stage. The Golden State Warriors superstar dazzled fans and critics alike with his on-court brilliance, even earning praise from outspoken NBA analyst Skip Bayless.
Following Team USA’s 98-87 victory over France in the Olympic final, LeBron James was crowned the tournament’s MVP. However, Bayless quickly sparked controversy by posting on social media that LeBron should not have won the MVP title. According to the analyst, Curry is the true deserving one of the award.
“I’M SORRY BUT THERE’S NO WAY LEBRON IS THE MVP. IT HAS TO BE STEPH. 17 3-POINTERS IN THE SEMI-FINAL AND THE FINAL. WE WOULD NOT HAVE WON WITHOUT HIM,” Bayless wrote in a post on X.
Curry scored 24 points in the final game against France. With his outstanding ability to shoot three-pointers, the Warriors star hit eight three-pointers, three of which came in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. On the other hand, LeBron contributed 14 points and 10 assists, with an impressive 60% field goal shooting.
