During his offseason getaway in Maui, Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant attempted to try out a different sport but was unsuccessful. Enjoying his vacation and taking a break from basketball, Durant was photographed by TMZ Sports attempting to surf. Despite his tall and lanky frame, he struggled to stand up on the board and ended up sitting on it instead. While he may not have excelled at surfing, the important thing was that he enjoyed the experience and had a chance to relax before the Warriors’ training camp. Taking time away from basketball can be beneficial for Durant, allowing him to rest and refocus before the upcoming season.
When October arrives, he will join his teammates in their pursuit of defending the championship they won in June. While surfing may not be his forte, Durant’s true talents lie on the basketball court, where he continues to be recognized as one of the NBA’s top players.
