The little dog known as ,,the saddest dog in the world” is named Lana. She is homeless again and at risk of being put to sleep if she doesn’t find someone to take care of her.

In 2015 a photo of Lana in her kennel went all over the internet. At the time, the owners of the dog were too upset to walk her. ,,It was as if her world had stopped.” Dahlia Ayoub of Mighty Mutts told me in 2015. Lana was brought back to the shelter because she was angry with her human mother. The memory of being the youngest of the litter may have triggered the urge to protect the food. Fortunately the shelter found someone to give her another chance and Lana was adopted again. ,,Lana wasn’t adopted because people wanted a dog to love and play with.” explains Brenda Dobranski, founder of Rescue Dogs Match. ,,She is a silly, funny and happy little girl, but she’s not the kind of dog that gets her belly scratched.” The little dog has until May 20 to be put down.

The people who adopted her brought her back to the shelter. They made her too upset to go for walks.

The shelter found someone who wanted to give Lana a second chance. It seemed like a happy end.

Sadly Lana is homeless again and immediately needs a new owner to not get put down.

Nobody wanted to adopt her because people were looking for a dog they could pet and play with.

Lana is silly and funny. She isn’t the type of dog that will let you pet and give her belly rubs.

The Dog went trough a lot and is in need of a patient person who can teach her to trust again.

The Dog has time until May 20 for a new forever home.

Lana is frightened and needs someone who accepts her how she is.
