The Lonely Journey of Erling Haaland: Can He Win the European Golden Shoe Title?

With extremely excellent performance, Erling Haaland currently leads the list of the European Golden Shoe with 64 points. If he continues his high form for the rest of the tournament, the Norwegian striker will receive the first Golden Shoe award in his career.

The European Golden Shoe is an award given to the player who has scored the most goals in a season in European football competitions.

If he continues to perform at a high level for the rest of the tournament, it will not be surprising when Erling Haaland receives the first golden shoe title of his career.
With 32 goals scored in the English Premier League, until now, Erling Haaland currently leads the list of the European Golden Shoe. The Norwegian striker is currently far away from the second, striker Harry Kane – who has 46 points.

If he continues his high form for the rest of the tournament, it will not be surprising when the Manchester City striker receives the first Golden Boot award in his career.

It is quite surprising that the owner of the European Golden Shoe title, Robert Lewandowski, is not currently in the Top 10. In the Top 10, it is worth noting that there are two players who are not playing in the top 5 European leagues, Enner. Fenerbahce’s Valencia and Bodo/Glimt’s Amahl Pellegrino.

Erling Haaland, striker of ManCity, is alone in this season’s European Golden Shoe race. With only 19 goals in 27 matches, he ranks third in the list of top scorers in Europe’s top leagues. He has lost first place to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, who has scored 23 goals, and has also been overtaken by Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo with 21.

While this may disappoint some Haaland fans, it’s not a disaster. At only 20 years old, he is still very young and will probably become one of the top strikers in the world in the future. In addition, being third in the list of top scorers is also a very impressive achievement.

Crucially, however, Haaland needs to keep scoring to win the European Golden Shoe, the award given to the player with the most goals in Europe’s top leagues. He had an impressive performance in the round of 16 of the Champions League when he scored twice against Sevilla, but Dortmund were eliminated from the tournament.

If Haaland wants to win the European Golden Shoe, he needs to keep scoring and help Dortmund win better results in the remaining matches of the season. This will not be easy when he is playing in a team that is not as strong as Bayern Munich or Manchester City. However, with his talent, Haaland can create a surprise and win the European Golden Shoe in the not too distant future.
