Lee Asher, a passionate dog enthusiast, made a bold decision to leave his job and dispose of all his belongings to embark on a cross-country journey with his friend and six rescue dogs. The aim of this adventure was to save as many shelter dogs as possible and provide them with a loving home. During their travels, they documented their experiences and shared them on social media to challenge the negative perception that people have of shelter dogs who bark while in their kennels. Lee emphasized that these barks are nothing more than a means of seeking attention from passersby and should not be taken as a sign of aggression.
At night, the RV transforms into a cozy canine slumber party for these dedicated dog enthusiasts. Despite the cramped quarters and the presence of six or more furry friends that range from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Saint Bernard’s, these animal lovers wouldn’t have it any other way. As they travel, they take breaks to let their four-legged companions stretch their legs and savor the beautiful vistas. However, their main priority is to find these adorable dogs permanent loving homes.
Up to this point, these compassionate individuals have saved 90 dogs across 31 states; however, their objective is still incomplete. They aspire to eliminate every dog shelter, which may appear far-fetched, but Lee and his companion are determined to accomplish it!
Their mission is to spread the word that shelter dogs are exceptional and affectionate companions that surpass all expectations.
