Luka Doncic returned to the Dallas Mavericks lineup for Game 4 against the Utah Jazz, and his presence was palpable as he introduced his much-anticipated Jordan Luka 1 signature shoe. Concurrently, Jordan Brand debuted the Slovenian superstar’s boots and highlighted all of his unique design characteristics.
When Jordan designers were creating this model, they considered his deceptive, off-speed style of play and opted to create a low-cut shoe to compliment his swift moves on the court. Inside the midsole is a fresh new IsoPlate system with full-length Formula 23 performance foam. The IsoPlate foot structure binds the foot from front to back by wrapping across the lateral forefoot area, keeping users locked in tight, while the Formula 23 foam aids in responsiveness for side-to-side actions like defensive slides and quick Euro steps. For further support, the upper half is also outfitted with breathable Flightwire cable technology.
One-piece base layers feature a haptic print that changes color depending on the angle of light hitting the shoe. Doncic’s distinctive insignia is also on the tongues, and the medial sides read “Non Desistas Non Exieris,” which translates to “never give up, never surrender.”
Watch for these hoop sneakers to enter retailers in the coming months.
