Just recently, MU conducted a gala to recap the 2022/23 season and recognize exceptional alumni, faculty, and staff. There, too, the champion for “Best Player” was decided.
English Premier League 2022/23 has concluded, and Manchester United finished third overall, earning a berth in the European C1 Cup. Considering that Erik Ten Hag’s coaching staff and pupils also “pocketed” the Carabao Cup championship title and are about to face Man City in the FA Cup final, this can be considered a win.
The Red Devils just wrapped up their annual season-ending celebration and awards ceremony on the eve of the great c/o/n/f/l/i/c/t with The Citizens. Thus, the winner of the 2022-23 “Best Player” award has also been decided.
In particular, Marcus Rashford was honored with the title of “Best Player” in two separate polls: one conducted by his peers (Players’ Player of the Year) and the other conducted by the fans (Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year).
Marcus Rashford won the prize for best player at Man United’s year-end ceremony.
After struggling for several years, Marcus Rashford finally found his form this season, scoring 30 goals.

The English forward has scored 30 goals and assisted on 9 others in 55 games played during the 2022–23 season. He scored 30 goals for MU in the 2012–23 season, surpassing Robin Van Persie as the only player to do so since.
This is the first time Rashford has been honored with such a prestigious trophy from the Old Trafford squad. He joins Ryan Giggs in 1998 as the only other academy product to be honored with the “Sir Matt Busby” moniker as an adult.
At the same time, Rashford was honored with two major accolades from his alma mater, MU (Internet). These are huge victories for this striker, and they give him plenty of confidence heading into the FA Cup final on June 3 at 21:00 (Vietnam time) versus Man City. The Red Devils need a win over their r/i/v/a/l if they want any chance of winning the treble this season.
Antony, a rookie, was awarded “Best Goal of the Season 2022/23” at MU’s recent awards night. In the second leg of the Europa League knockout phase, the Red Devils’ 2-1 victory over Barcelona was aided by a goal set up by the Samba star.
Resurgent With the FA Cup final approaching, Marcus Rashford has been crowned Manchester United’s player of the year and the players’ player. He has scored 30 goals this season.
Since Ryan Giggs in 1998, he is the first player who graduated from United’s academy to win the award.
With his improved play, he was recalled to Gareth Southgate’s England squad, and he ended up as the World Cup’s joint-leading scorer for England with three goals.
Rashford stated of his award victory, “Definitely a proud feeling; it’s been a long time since an academy player has won this award, so I feel a huge sense of pride.”
If additional athletes from the academy can go on to win this prize, they too can experience the joy I am feeling at this very moment. I’m overjoyed and grateful; without my teammates and coaches pushing me to improve in practice every day, you wouldn’t see the best version of me.
I value your help and support and am grateful to you all.
After receiving both the Sir Matt Busby and Players’ “Player Of The Year” trophies, he wrote, “What an incredible honor to win both.” It means the world to me to have the backing of the fans and my teammates.
