Stephen Curry Honors Ayesha’s Success with $50 Million Donation

Stephen Curry is one of the most recognizable athletes of his generation. The Warriors guard has made a huge bank alongside his wife Ayesha Curry, who is a celebrity chef and author. Steph and Ayesha have recently announced that they would be raising over $50,000,000 through their charity, ‘Eat. Learn. Play’. Steph and Ayesha have shown to be quite compatible as the duo has done exceedingly well in all shared ventures, even if it’s just a GQ couples quiz, that is. The couple seemed to be really ‘synched up’ as the warriors’ guard accurately guessed what his wife’s greatest achievement was, in her eyes.

Stephen Curry Celebrates Ayesha's NYT Bestselling Author Achievement Before $50 Million Donation

Steph Curry has a ‘flawless’ performance as the couple ace their GQ couples quiz
Steph and Ayesha Curry were one of the recent additions to the GQ couples quiz. While on the show, Steph was asked, what he believed was his wife’s greatest business accomplishment. Responding accurately, Steph said, “Besides holding up your restaurant, it has to be being a New York Times Best Seller. Not just one but two”. Ayesha was pleasantly surprised at her husband’s answer, as the 4-time Champion was laying on the compliments left, right, and center.

The two books being talked about are The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well and The Full Plate: Flavor-Filled, Easy Recipes for Families with No Time and a Lot to Do. Both books are New York Times Best Sellers and were solo-authored by Ayesha.

But Ayesha, just like her husband, is a jack of all trades. Leaving aside her charitable work, her books, and her lifestyle company ( Sweet July), she also runs a restaurant called ‘International Smoke‘. The restaurant, which opened its first location in the Bay Area, is a collaboration between Chef Michael Mina and Ayesha.

Steph wants the ‘Chef Curry’ title to be returned to its rightful owner, his wife Ayesha Curry
The name Steph Curry is closely associated with Warriors guard, Steph Curry. The name stuck with the 6’2 guard as a result of being named dropped by rapper Drake, in his song ” 0 to 100″. The bar which pays homage to Steph goes, “Been cookin’ with the sauce, Chef Curry with the pot“.

But in a WIRED interview recently, Steph said that the title belonged to his wife Ayesha, as she was the ‘real’ chef. Curry even detailed how the name had become a heated debate in his house, telling the interviewers, “This is a very hot topic at our house. So, I got the nickname ‘Chef Curry’. Drake dropped the first line, “Chef Curry with the pot,” which is a call to me kind of cooking him up on the court. The real ‘Chef Curry’ is Ayesha Curry. I borrow the nickname every once in a while when I’m on the court, but she’s the real ‘Chef Curry”.

It seems rather clear that in the Curry household, there is only one ‘chief’ and that isn’t our boy Stephen.
