Shaun Jirani of The Athletic reports that the Los Angeles Clippers are considering trading for Dejounte Murray from the Hawks.

Murray has been an important cog in the NBA’s wheel since making his debut All-Star selection in 2022.He trails only Young in scoring at 20.3 ppg, 5.4 apg, and 1.6 spg per game.

The Athletic reports that Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls is another player the Lakers have been linked to.The Lakers may find Murray more appealing than a player like Zach LaVine, whose contract only has two years remaining, due to his four-year, $120 million agreement, which will become effective next season.
However, Murray has interest from other teams outside the Lakers.
New York is “among several teams who have expressed exploratory trade interest” in the Hawks’ guard Murray, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, who reported last week that the Knicks are also considering a trade for Murray.“Some prominent members” of the Knicks organization saw Murray as a “perfect trade target,” according to SNY’s Ian Begley.
If the Knicks were to make a move for Murray, it might be complicated because he is represented by Klutch Sports Group and Rich Paul.
Paul reportedly has a history of reluctance to do business with the Knicks.Conversely, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are just two of many Lakers players who have previously been represented by Paul.
