Accompanying the pictures, Dambo provides a description of his works: “I build giant wooden trolls around the world and hide them in wilderness and forests. By doing this, I hope to lure people away from concrete cities and computer screens, into the wild and reconnect them with the natural world. I build all my enormous sculptures from recycled materials to showcase the potential in this precious material, which is often discarded and becomes a threat to the natural world.”
The creative man has also initiated multiple hidden troll projects spread across the world. You can also check out more of his works on his website. Credits for these pictures go to Thomas Dambo.
He has always found joy in creating things, especially using wood as his preferred medium. However, the monotonous routine of being a carpenter did not satisfy him as he yearned for more meaning in his work. Thus, since 2011, Dambo has been traveling around Denmark to construct enchanting structures. Many of these projects started as a simple curiosity that Dambo had, and he is unafraid to pursue them even as an adult. The seven colossal trolls below are a testament to the meticulous effort that Dambo and his team put into their work.
