Six people ∂ιє∂ in this tragedy and 21 people are missing, of which 11 were mining company employees.
Volunteers, the Fire Department, City Police, Military Police and police dogs are working together to rescue animals stuck in the mud.
This large group saved the lives of several dogs, cats, cows and chickens.

In addition to rescuing the remaining animals in the district, volunteers also support pets staying with their owners.
The rescued animals are being cared for by NGOs so they are asking for donations (financial or food, shampoo, housing, feed, blankets and cleaning materials).
The Institute for the Defense of Animal Rights (IDDA) in Ouro Preto said some rescued pets have found their owners, but many animals in Mariana kennels are waiting for this moment
