Meet Dasha, the adorable kitten with shiny fur

Meet Dasha, the feline sensation! Dasha is a feisty little Pallas cat who’s all set to return to her natural habitat after being rescued and nurtured by kind-hearted park rangers in Siberia. This adorable kitten was on the brink of death when she was abandoned by her mother but has now blossomed into an energetic ball of fur. The Pallas cat is a scarce species of wild cat that primarily inhabits caves in the wilderness.

After spending some time with humans, Dasha has now gained enough strength to go back to the wilderness. However, during her stay, she has managed to become quite popular on social media in Russia by taking pictures at the Dauria nature reserve.

According to the reserve’s director, Vadim Kirilyuk, the little cat had been in hiding for a few days inside an old train carriage somewhere in Siberia. Eventually, someone heard a faint meow and discovered the kitten.

As soon as the team at the reserve got hold of the hungry kitten, they faced a dilemma on how to feed her. Despite her obvious malnutrition, no one knew exactly how to get her the nourishment she needed. Luckily, the Moscow Zoo came to their aid and provided a syringe to feed the kitty. However, it wasn’t an easy task to make the little one eat and drink, especially without her mother around. It was going to be a rough journey ahead for the young wild cat.

After spending a few months in the reserve, the kitty’s eye color had undergone a noticeable change. Scientists then decided to release her back into the wild. Much to their surprise, the kitty quickly made her way back to them, much to Kirilyuk’s delight as he smiled at the sight.

After receiving intensive care for three months, it’s time for this adorable kitten to return home. Despite going back to her habitat, the reserve will still monitor and supervise her as she is not yet prepared to be on her own. Dasha belongs to a breed of cats that are unfortunately nearing extinction. Hence, it would be a loss if this beautiful wild kitten does not survive. However, we have complete faith that with the assistance and expertise of Kirilyuk and Dauria’s team, Dasha will overcome any obstacle.
