After the forest fire, the lost pet cat miraculously reunited with its home.

A missing pet cat has returned home after disappearing for seven days during a roaring bushfire on the New South Wales south coast.

Bushfires in Australia can occur yearly-round, so it is nothing new to Australians. However, this bushfire season has been calamitous, and it’s far from over.

Ben Symonds’ family was one of hundreds of families forced to evacuate as bushfires swept through their neighborhood.

This deadly wildfire destroyed their home and ravaged the surrounding area, and while the family was in the middle of the evacuation, their beloved cats Angel, ran into bushland and were nowhere to be seen. When the fire was controlled, Ben and his family came back home but their cats were still missing.

The family called out for the cats constantly, but food all around the house to entice them to come back. “We expected to see them if they’d be back in 3-4 days,” Symonds said.

As days passed, the situation looked increasingly grim. “We saw not a trace for seven days.” The family eventually accepted that they had lost everything in the bushfires, including their beloved pets. But then, out of nowhere, Angel made a miraculous return.

“We didn’t even recognize her,” Mr. Symonds said. “She was just brown and orange and burnt, sitting there looking at us.”

The family had been overwhelmed with happiness after their beloved cat Angel returned home safely. “We all saw her at the same time and shouted out with joy and just ran to her.” “It was a pretty powerful moment.”

“Mrs. Symonds said, ‘We didn’t even recognize her. She was just brown and orange and sat there looking at us.’ It was a pretty powerful moment.

After that, Ben brought her to the vet to see if there were any injuries. Luckily, she did not have any life-threatening injuries. ‘She only suffered only minor burns around her ears and eyes in the devastating fire, with no damage to her feet.’
