The one-year-old animal snuck into the washing machine to sleep but almost died due to the owner’s negligence.
Stefani Carroll Kirchoff, a resident of Minnesota, midwestern United States, almost killed her pet last week when she started the washing machine without carefully checking what was inside. Her one-year-old cat named Felix snuck into the washing machine to sleep and somehow miraculously survived the 35-minute wash cycle.
Carroll Kirchoff said she only noticed her cat in the pile of clothes after the laundry was finished. She and her family rushed Felix to the local veterinary hospital for emergency treatment. Although lucky to survive, the animal was in very critical condition with severe pneumonia and temporary loss of vision.
Thanks to the efforts of veterinarians, Felix is gradually recovering. The animal began to eat and see but still had to use a ventilator. Carroll Kirchoff said she would never forgive her actions and that the incident could make her regret it for the rest of her life.
