A foster mom was taking a walk in her neighborhood one day when she saw a tiny bundle of fur lying on the sidewalk.
Completely on his own lay a little tuxedo kitten with his eyes sealed shut due to an upper respiratory infection. The kind-hearted lady waited for the kitten’s mom to show up but she never came back so she made contact with Kitty of Angels in the hopes of finding the medical care this kitten needed.
“After looking around for a mom or other kittens (and finding none), we decided to get him to a vet ASAP,” said Lizzie Lewis, found of Kitty of Angels.
Due to his size Rocco, as he was named, was immediately placed on antibiotics and received the love and care he had been missing.
“His foster mom has been showering him with love and attention and we’ve all fallen in love. Hard,” said Lizzie.
Sadly Rocco was soon back in the hospital with a very severe case of constipation and had to go on medication to try and clear up the blockage.

He was placed on medication to help clear up the blockage and was soon eating on his own although the issue will need to be looked at more closely.
“He’ll need to see a specialist to find out what exactly is going on with his constipation problems. The initial vet suspects it might be a thyroid issue which is good news because that is something that will only require some ongoing medication to keep his levels in check,” said Lizzie.
The first sign that Rocco might be turning the corner was his newly discovered skill of biscuit making, and before long he was back from the hospital on thyroid meds.
“We are trying to regulate him on his medication which does take a little while to really affect the issue. It’s been a couple of weeks, and he’s getting better and better,” Lizzie added.
“We’ll keep up this process as long as it takes for everything to sort out. He’s such a perfect boy.”
As Rocco began to put on weight his feisty side began to emerge and he began to capture more hearts.
“The vet tech rightly stated that he is a charmer.”
“This guy has gained an ounce in the past couple days. He’s still not really goint to the bathroom much on his own, but he’s NAILING being a feline potato.”
