A beautiful blind cat named Keller has found his forever home after being adopted by a loving couple. Despite being born without eyes, Keller’s striking blue-eyed appearance and affectionate personality won over his new owners.
Keller was brought to a local animal shelter as a stray kitten. Volunteers at the shelter noticed the white kitten kept bumping into things and upon examination discovered he had no eyes – only empty sockets covered by eyelids. Shelter staff believe Keller’s eye deformity was caused by a birth defect.
While Keller’s lack of sight meant he needed some extra care when being adopted, his incredible blue-eyed face made him stand out. When Megan and Alejandro saw photos of the unique-looking feline online, they felt an instant connection and headed to the shelter to meet him.
“He had the most gorgeous blue eyes,” Megan said. “We couldn’t believe a blind cat could have such beautiful baby blues.”
Despite not being able to see them, Keller seemed to sense he had made an impression on the couple. He immediately snuggled up against them, purring loudly. The sweet affection sealed the deal.
Megan and Alejandro officially adopted Keller and welcomed him into their home. Though he needs some help navigating new spaces, Keller loves darting around and plopping down on laps for petting sessions. His adoptive parents are overjoyed to give the special-needs kitty a loving forever home.
Keller’s story shows that even cats with disabilities can find the perfect match if given a chance. His unforgettable blue-eyed gaze captured the hearts of compassionate owners who saw past his blindness to love him for the sweet feline he is.
