Exploring The Epic Size Of The Maine Coon Feline

Meet Ludo, the Maine Coon cat who is already a massive 24.5lbs (11kg) and measures 45 inches in length. Despite his size, Ludo is only 17 months old and is expected to keep growing as Maine Coon cats are known as the “gentle giants” of the feline world. His owner, Kelsey Gill, assures that Ludo is friendly and lovable despite being three times the average weight of a cat. Kelsey and her husband, Matthew, purchased Ludo from a breeder approximately one year ago and have been amazed by his growth ever since.

Ludo, a gigantic Maine Coon cat, is currently 17 months old and already weighs a whopping 24.5lbs (11kg) and measures 45 inches in length. His owner, Mrs. Gill, who runs a chip shop with her husband, noted that Ludo wasn’t any larger than his littermates when they first got him, but he quickly grew to be double the size of their other cats who are a few years older than him. Though Ludo is friendly and affectionate, some visitors are intimidated by his size since they are used to seeing dogs that big, not cats. Mrs. Gill compares picking up Ludo to holding a baby due to his enormous size. Despite his unusual size, Ludo is an adorable and beloved pet.

Kelsey and Matthew Gill from Ryhill, West Yorkshire are proud owners of a Maine Coon cat that they purchased from a breeder about a year ago. Although unsure if their cat is the largest in Britain, they are positive that he’s quite close to being one. Their realization came when Kelsey’s husband looked up Ludo’s size on the internet and found that he was slightly larger than most cats. Ludo is only 17 months old, and there is a debate about when Maine Coons stop growing, but they believe that he still has a lot more growing to do. It amazes them how much smaller their other cats are even though they eat more than Ludo. According to the breeder, Ludo’s relative is the longest cat. Kelsey and Matthew have had Maine Coon cats for a while, but none has been as large as Ludo. Ludo overtook their other two cats in weight and size when he was only five months old, and he weighed 18 pounds at nine months. Despite his size, Ludo is friendly and loving, and he often comes over to be petted or lay on the bed. Ludo doesn’t eat more than their other cats, which is surprising considering his size. He only eats a standard amount of Maine Coon’s royal canin cat food.

A chip shop owner named Mrs. Gill, aged 28, shared her experience of owning a Maine Coon cat that they named Ludo. When they bought him, he was just as small as the other kittens in his litter, but eventually grew to become a big cat. Despite his size, Mrs. Gill and her husband are still able to pick him up and take him places, although he is incredibly heavy. Maine Coon cats are referred to as the “gentle giants” of the feline world and are known to produce some of the largest domestic cats.

The cats that are native to the state of Maine in the United States are easily recognizable due to their lengthy, heavily-furred tails and can reach lengths of over 40 inches from nose to tail. These felines, known as Maine Coons, experience growth spurts between nine to 14 months and continue to develop until they reach four years of age. Male Maine Coons can weigh up to 18lbs (8kg), while females tend to reach 11lbs (5kg). In 2013, the world’s longest domestic cat, Stewie, a Maine Coon, achieved a length of 48.5 inches before passing away due to cancer. Recently, a Maine Coon named Ludo has been making headlines for being three times the size of an average feline.
